Boil Water Notice & Restrict Use!
Posted on May 10th, 2026
Dear Neighbors,
Please be advised that Rochester Hills residents in the northwest portion of the city are currently under a Boil Water Advisory after a previously leaking Great Lakes Water Authority (GLWA) water main in Auburn Hills has now broken.
According to the City of Rochester Hills, the water system remains stable after switching to emergency operations; however, the temporary drop in water pressure during the transition requires the Boil Water Advisory as a precautionary measure.
Residents in the affected area should boil water before using it for:
Drinking
Brushing teeth
Making ice
Washing dishes
Food preparation
To properly boil water:
Bring water to a rolling boil for at least one minute
Allow it to cool before use
Bottled water may also be used as an alternative
In addition, the City of Rochester Hills has issued an emergency water restriction for ALL residents and businesses effective immediately. Please avoid non-essential water use, including:
Running dishwashers and washing machines
Watering lawns
Washing vehicles
Filling pools
Other recreational water activities
These conservation efforts will help maintain water availability for residents, businesses, and neighboring communities. Some residents may also experience reduced water pressure during this time.
The City will continue monitoring the water system and will notify residents once the advisory and restrictions have been lifted. The Rochester Hills City website has the map of the affected area.
Please see the Rochester Hills website and the GLWA press release for additional details and updates.
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

Making outside improvements?
Posted on Mar 1st, 2026
The Deed Restrictions require residents to contact the Architectural Control Committee before commencing work for approval! Often, we begin work outside without knowing property boundaries or make modifications to the exterior (such as windows/brick walls/etc.) that do not match the neighborhood. Please check for approval before beginning any new construction, permanent structures, etc. in order to avoid costly errors. Repair or replacement of existing structures not requiring a physical change, such as decks, do not require approval. This requirement exists for the protection of your property value and to maintain the architectural harmony of the community.
